Balenbouche Dining

We offer self catering in all our cottages, as well as meals by reservation

Our Cuisine is a blend of St Lucian/Creole, Asian and International dishes. Many have said that our dining experience is one of the best in St Lucia. Part of our secret is that we use fresh, local and organic ingredients, some of which are grown on the estate. All our meals are healthy and balanced. We offer vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free meals by prior request. For groups and retreats, we also offer all inclusive meal packages.

Self Catering

All our cottages are equipped with kitchens or kitchenettes offering cook tops, refrigerators, and gas or toaster ovens.

It is easy to prepare your own meals while staying at Balenbouche. The kitchens are equipped with the basics, but if you need anything else, just let us know. Groceries in St Lucia are quite expensive and many products are imported. However, it is possible to buy largely local and more affordable food if you choose carefully. There is a Saturday morning farmers market in every town. The nearest supermarket “Massy” (which also has an ATM) is a 5 minute drive from Balenbouche. Take a left onto the main road and it will be on your left just before the village of Choiseul. In the neighboring village of Piaye (5 minute walk) there is a fruit and vegetable stand and a small convenience store.
