Waterlily is a newer accommodation built to a modern standard, but with the eclectic charm of our older cottages. The elevated octagonal house offers 800 sq feet of living space and is nestled in a very secluded part of the property, overlooking a lush valley of coconut, cocoa and breadfruit trees.

 Waterlily is for adults only and ideal for couples looking for a romantic escape. It feels both elegant and artsy – and a bit like a tree house. The high ceilings, shape of the building and design of the roof allow for excellent ventilation. The bedroom and veranda have (reclaimed) hardwood floors. The custom 4 poster bed with view of the garden is a great feature. The kitchen is equipped with an under counter fridge, gas cook top, toaster oven, hot water kettle and french press.

The wrap around veranda is a great place to relax and observe nature. The entire house closes up securely at night, but there is excellent ventilation throughout.

Please note that all our historic and newer accommodations are built in an eco-friendly, open and tropical style, with no window screens or air conditioning, only standing fans and mosquito nets. Balenbouche is best for adventurous travelers who are comfortable with the outdoors, do not require resort style amenities and are looking to experience true island life.
