St Lucia Restaurants
At Balenbouche, we serve breakfast every day and dinner 2-3 times a week. Near Balenbouche there are several small local restaurants and food stalls, between the villages of Piaye (5 minute walk) and Laborie,(10 minute drive). In Piaye, there is also a convenience store and a fruit and vegetable stand. The Massy supermarket in the community of Choiseul is a 10 minute drive in the other direction. All our cottages are equipped with kitchens and many of our guests prepare their own meals.

Getting Around St Lucia
We can arrange airport transfers from US$ 40, car rentals ($60 – $70 a day) or private taxi tours ($120-150 a day). Generally, we suggest taking a taxi from the airport. On your first day or two, you can explore Balenbouche, walk to nearby attractions, or take a bus to Laborie,. You can take a taxi shuttle to the supermarket nearby, or stop at one on the way from the airport. The most affordable way to see the island is by bus, though they don’t have a schedule and only run certain routes. Taxis are expensive, but having a knowledgeable driver is a benefit. Renting a car for a few days is definitely worth it if you want to really explore.
