Waterlily is a newer premium accommodation built to a modern standard, with lots of eclectic charm. The unique elevated octagonal house offers 800 sq feet of living space and is nestled in a very secluded part of the property, overlooking a lush valley of coconut, cocoa and breadfruit trees.

 Waterlily is for adults only and ideal for couples looking for a romantic escape. It feels both elegant and artsy – and a bit like a tree house. The high ceilings, shape of the building and design of the roof allow for excellent ventilation. The bedroom and veranda have hardwood floors. The bed is a main feature and comes equipped with a large square mosquito net (not shown in the photos).  The kitchen is equipped with an under counter fridge, gas cook top, toaster oven, hot water kettle and french press.

The wrap around veranda is a great place to relax and observe nature. The entire house closes up securely at night, but there is excellent ventilation throughout.

About Frangipani

The charming Frangipani St Lucia plantation cottage was built from largely reclaimed materials in a traditional West Indian fashion, to fit into the landscape of our historic property.Frangipani offers a bedroom with king bed and separate dressing area, a spacious bathroom with natural stone shower, a kitchenette and wooden deck (not shown on this floor plan), and a front porch.  The open area all around the pitched roof allows for natural ventilation and lighting. Frangipani is the perfect getaway for couples and honeymooners. However, there is room for a single bed or baby cot. For older children or larger families, the Almond or Banyan cottage are more suitable. Frangipani is equipped with solar hot water, and a kitchenette with under counter fridge and hot plate.

Calabash is ideal for a single person, couple or a couple with young child. A baby bed or extra twin bed can easily be placed in the adjoining space next to the bed. Our guests love the wooden covered deck with the open air kitchenette, inviting you to cook, relax or work. Although surrounded by nature, the bedroom and adjoining walk in bathroom are more enclosed and built with concrete, which keeps the interior cool and protected from the elements.

The Calabash cottage is located near the Almond Cottage and the Balenbouche Plantation house – it is a little less secluded than some of our other accommodations, but still quite private. If you are looking for an authentic and inexpensive accommodation in a beautiful natural surroundings, our Calabash Cottage might just be the perfect place to settle in!
